Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with the residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime events through July 29.

Trespassing

Trespassing on N State Road 7 was reported on 07/25/2023. A suspect trespassed from the gas station previously and was documented. The suspect was taken to jail.

Burglary Conveyance

A victim of Burglary Conveyance on NW 55 Place was reported on 07/25/2023. The victim has a video of two unknown subjects attempting to burglarize her vehicle.

Theft -All Other

A victim of Theft -All Other on W McNab Road was reported on 07/25/2023. The total estimated loss was: $296. The complainant reported three masked men pried the tops of the mailboxes open and stole a lot of mail. She has video footage of the incident.

Theft From Building

A victim of Theft From Building NW 57 Street was reported on 07/25/2023. The total estimated loss was: $400. An AC Compressor was stolen from an outdoor unit.

A victim of Theft From a Building on Commercial Blvd was reported on 07/30/2023. The total estimated loss was: $1,200. The victim advised that she placed her phone on the counter at Walgreens, and when she went to retrieve the phone, it was gone. Video surveillance shows a female subject picking up the phone and placing it into a brown purse.

Auto Theft

A victim of Auto Theft on N Sabal Palm Blvd was reported on 07/25/2023. The victim’s blue 2014 Nissan Maxima was stolen from the parking lot of her apartment building.

A victim of Auto Theft on Woodland Circle was reported on 07/26/2023. A 2022 White Honda CRV was stolen.

Threats / Intimidation

A victim of Threats / Intimidation on NW 80 Street was reported on 07/26/2023.

Lost Property

A victim of Lost Property on N University Drive was reported on 07/26/2023. The caller advised that when her daughter was in the hospital, she removed her earrings, gave them to her nurse, and did not return them when discharged.

Theft – Retail / Shoplifting

A victim of Theft – Retail/ Shoplifting on N Pine Island Road was reported on 07/30/2023. The total estimated loss was: $1649.

A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on W Commercial Blvd was reported on 07/27/2023. The total estimated loss was: $540.

A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on W Commercial Blvd was reported on 07/27/2023. The deputy observed a female exit the business. Shortly after, the manager exited the business and advised the deputy that the suspect had stolen merchandise. The suspect was detained, and it was ultimately determined that the suspect stole $519.62 worth of cosmetic products.

A victim of Theft – Retail / Shoplifting on N University Drive was reported on:07/26/2023. The total estimated loss was: $226.

Fraud- All Other

A victim of Fraud- All Other on Woodmont Avenue was reported on 07/27/2023. The complainant wants to file a fraud report because his ex-girlfriend took out a card in his name.

Found Property

Found Property on NW 71 Place was reported on 07/27/2023. While performing a land survey, the caller located a firearm, Smith & Wesson .38 Cal, Model 36, inside the utility drain. Multiple parts, such as the trigger and grip, were missing from the revolver. The serial number was still intact.

Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts

A victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts on McNab Road was reported on 07/28/2023. The total estimated loss was: $1,015. An unknown suspect(s) stole the front bumper of a 2019 KW T680 truck.

A victim of Theft – Motor Vehicle Parts on Holly Court was reported on 07/28/2023. The total estimated loss was $3,000. The caller advised that her cousin’s four wheels were missing, leaving the vehicle on bricks.

Arrests

Rivero, Victor, Manuel, 38, was arrested on a charge of Criminal Mischief at E Grand Duke Circle on 07/28/2023.

Adrien, Fania, 28, was arrested on a Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence charge on NW 72 Avenue on 07/29/2023.

Vital, Andris, Pouchon, 27, was arrested on a Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence charge on Rock Island Road on 07/29/2023.

Jean Baptiste, Rudolph, 39, was arrested on a Larceny – Grand Theft 750 Less Than 5k Dollars charge on Pine Island Road on 07/30/2023.
